1+2 Industrial Maintenance Training Program
About The Position
With Tyson’s 1+2 Industrial Maintenance Training Program, participants start a career as a full-time maintenance employee earning up to $25.85 per hour plus benefits, while attending Industrial Maintenance Training classes at Hawkeye Community College. No prior maintenance experience needed. Just need a desire to succeed!! Participants attend classes at Hawkeye Community College 4 days a week, 6 hours a day Monday-Thursday; attend one- 4-hour study session on-site at Tyson and work one 12-hour shift in maintenance. Selected candidates are hired as full-time maintenance employees and are eligible for benefits after 90 days. Participants earn a certificate in Industrial Maintenance which can be applied towards earning an AA or bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
