About the position
The Industrial Maintenance Electrician position at Kellanova's Wyoming plant involves maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a state-of-the-art facility. This role requires a focus on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and machine repair, particularly with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The position operates on a night shift schedule, providing a unique work-life balance with a 3-day weekend every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Repair electrical and mechanical systems including pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors.
- Analyze equipment failures to determine root causes and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel to enhance plant efficiency.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems.
- Active licensed Journeyman (electrical) with PLC experience or an Associate of Applied Science in a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
