About The Position

PK Industrial is growing and currently seeking candidates with Industrial and/or Construction General Labor experience to work as Blaster/Painters. Candidates with related trade skills (i.e. Coatings applications and prep work), great attitude, and solid work history may find expanded earning potential. The work involves industrial painting and surface preparation in refineries or on job sites. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, mixing paints and coatings, and applying paint and fireproofing using various tools and equipment. Travel to job sites within the Kansas area is expected (25-30%), with most travel not being overnight. The average work week is 40-60 hours, Monday-Friday, with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Industrial General Labor to include working in a refinery or on a job site.
  • Performs all types of industrial painting work and surface preparation.
  • Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary.
  • Mixes, and blends various paints, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and special protective coatings for specified consistency, and drying properties.
  • Erects and uses ladders, scaffolding, and swinging stage equipment as required.
  • Paint work and Fireproofing on various structures, equipment, and piping using brush, spray gun or other applicators.
  • 25% - 30% travel to job sites within the Kansas area will be expected, the rest of the work will take place in El Dorado and/or Augusta Kansas.
  • Most travel will not be overnight, with a small possibility of overnight travel.
  • 40 - 60 hours per week average, Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm with overtime opportunities.
