About the position
The Industrial Electrician position at Kellanova involves maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a food manufacturing facility. The position operates on a 12-hour overnight shift with a 4 on 4 off schedule, focusing on enhancing plant efficiency and communication with supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment and enhance PLC knowledge through troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair.
- Analyze production equipment failures to conduct root cause analysis using schematics and drawings.
- Investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors.
- Seek ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings while maintaining open communication with leads and supervisors.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing plant
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day, with occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
