About the position

As a Jostens Independent Sales Representative (1099), you are highly motivated and interested in building your own business. You are entrepreneurial in nature and want more out of life than just a job. This position allows you to gain market share through customer and prospect development, build and maintain customer relationships, and advise school administration on products and services offered by Jostens. You will also be responsible for maintaining an independent business office and managing all business expenses, including travel.

Responsibilities

  • Gain market share through customer and prospect development.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and work effectively with school administrations, organizations and their advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise school administration on products and services offered by Jostens.
  • Comply with all applicable laws associated with the services performed for Jostens.
  • Maintain an independent business office.
  • Responsible for all business expenses, including but not limited to travel to facilitate sale.
  • Hiring, retaining, and compensating an office and sales staff as needed.
  • Represent the Jostens brand and shared values of accountability to customers, unwavering integrity, responsibility and respect for those we serve.

Requirements

  • Passion for contributing to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  • Relevant and proven sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C).
  • Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success and development.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through great customer focus.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Great communication skills and ability to act as a true business partner.
  • Flexibility for regional/territory and national travel.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • 4-year degree (preferred not required).
