Responsibilities
- Assist adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and improving life skills.
- Provide instruction in areas such as cooking, budgeting, organization, and social relationships.
- Engage clients in a friendly and patient manner appropriate to their skill levels.
- Follow individualized goal plans to track progress and provide supportive assistance.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for clients during instructional periods.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to set limits and supervise clients effectively.
- Ability to engage clients appropriately based on their skill levels.
- Ability to follow written plans and track goals during sessions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and help clients acquire them.
