About the position

The Income Maintenance Caseworker II Supervisor oversees the Family and Children's Medicaid unit, providing administrative and technical supervision to staff delivering Medicaid services. This role involves planning operations, coordinating workloads, ensuring staff training, and maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan work operations, priorities, and goals within the unit.
• Coordinate workloads and workflow within the unit.
• Ensure employees in the unit receive appropriate training.
• Supervise income maintenance caseworkers involved in the intake, processing and review of information.
• Ensure caseworkers inform Medicaid applicants of their rights, appeal decisions, ability to withdraw application, right to re-apply if found ineligible, responsibilities of the agency.
• Ensure caseworkers complete recertification and process changes in accordance with provided guidance, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure caseworkers adhere to established deadlines.
• Conduct quality control checks.
• Utilize the NC Fast system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the director.

Requirements

• Experience in Medicaid services or income maintenance programs.
• Supervisory experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and policies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
