About the position

The Incineration Operator II at Clean Harbors is responsible for operating the control system associated with the incineration unit, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining a clean work environment. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual who is committed to safety and can work rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the control system associated with the incineration unit.
  • Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies and procedures.
  • Train, develop, and oversee Board Operations.
  • Perform daily maintenance duties and communicate any issues with the unit immediately.
  • Ensure the unit is operated safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards in facility operations.
  • Keep the work environment clean and organized.
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial experience required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an operations environment.
  • 2-4 years of incineration operations experience.
  • 1-2 years of incineration board operations experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of pumps, feed systems, and automatic controls.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
  • Knowledge of WIN operating system.
  • Demonstrates complete proficiency in incineration operations and board operations.
  • DOT Training required.
  • Ability to climb on and off forklifts and vertical ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist level.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Punctuality and attendance required.

  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
