Our In-Home Sales Representative is accountable for in-home fireplace sales by selling hearth products, services, and accessories. The position must provide best-in-class consumer buying experiences by engaging homeowners and driving the sale to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct in-home sales calls using the retail sales process in customers' homes to sell gas insert products demonstrating their features and benefits.
  • Exceed customer expectations through all required steps of the product sale and installation process by working closely with customers to understand project needs and timelines, and diligent follow-up.
  • Perform initial job site verification to ensure that product and services will work in the home.
  • Provide pricing estimates to the buyer and explain different pricing options to the customer. Collect and process payments from customers.
  • Represent the brand professionally, delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Creates a clean handoff to the Operations team for scheduling of installers, skilled trades and necessary inspections to optimize productivity and customer experience.
  • Responsible for accurate labor charges being approved on all paperwork.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable HHT products categories.
  • Attends home shows and related promotional events to develop customer leads.
  • Canvass neighborhoods to develop customer leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 or more years of direct to consumer sales experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience in training others on features and benefits of products.
  • Ability to interact with homeowners, and other stakeholders independently and with excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be physically capable of accessing construction sites and homes under construction.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Internet).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read tape measure and residential blueprints and use required tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of related residential building products field operations, preferred.
  • Project management experience, preferred.
