About the position

The position is for in-home caregivers with nursing experience to provide comprehensive care for a 55-year-old quadriplegic male. The caregivers will be responsible for delivering empathetic and compassionate support in a family-oriented environment, ensuring the individual’s daily needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal hygiene and incontinence care.
• Administer wound care for stage 3 pressure sores.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform range of motion exercises.
• Conduct light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Run errands and provide medication reminders.
• Utilize a Hoyer lift for patient mobility.
• Assist with turning and repositioning the patient.
• Accompany the patient to appointments, church, and errands.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Experience in providing care for individuals with mobility challenges.
• Reliable transportation to travel to the job location.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Availability to work weekends and flexible hours.
• TB clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with stage 3 pressure sore care.
• Experience with Hoyer lift operation.
