About the position
As an Implementation Consultant at SS&C, you will play a crucial role in onboarding new clients to the proprietary General Ledger accounting software. This position involves collaborating with internal services teams, providing ongoing support, and ensuring a smooth implementation process. You will also be responsible for translating client requirements into technical specifications and assisting with troubleshooting during the onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with outsourcing operations and accounting teams for onboarding of new clients to SS&C proprietary general ledger system.
- Translate client requirements to technical specifications for business development requests.
- Assist in the initial database setup and loading of client conversion data.
- Provide support to internal teams for troubleshooting during the onboarding process and post-implementation.
- Research issues/errors in General Ledger GUI and/or SQL backend for resolution.
- Identify and document enhancements or issue requirements for potential development.
- Keep up to date on product development and provide training to operations/accounting teams on updated functionality.
- Assist Manager with other projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Strong analytical, technical, problem solving, documentation, organizational and communication skills.
- Basic Knowledge/Coursework relating to accounting and/or Investment Accounting principles is preferred.
- Prior Insurance STAT reporting experience is highly desirable.
- SQL database/query language experience highly desirable.
- Position requires high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new application functionality and strive to be an expert.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic Knowledge/Coursework relating to accounting and/or Investment Accounting principles is preferred.
- Prior Insurance STAT reporting experience is highly desirable.
