About the position
The Immediate Lead Elementary Teacher at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is responsible for creating a positive classroom environment for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. This role involves implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, collaborating with fellow educators, and building relationships with families. The teacher will work within a co-teaching model in some grades, sharing responsibilities with a novice teacher, while in other grades, they will teach specific subjects to multiple cohorts of students. The position aims to foster academic excellence and support the mission of KIPP to prepare students for their future endeavors.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or eligibility for certification (Elementary Education K-6 or Pre-K-Primary-Grade 3).
- At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
- Commitment to racial and educational equity for all children.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by law.
Nice-to-haves
- Florida Reading Endorsement or coursework in progress.
- Two or more years of teaching experience in an elementary grade level.
