About the position

The EI/ECSE Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation, assessment, consultation and/or direct instruction to early childhood students with disabilities in the IMESD service area. The SLP will also be collaborative with other educators and specialists to provide best practices for students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation and assessment for early childhood students with disabilities.
  • Consult and provide direct instruction to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with other educators and specialists to implement best practices for students.

Requirements

  • Completion of the American Speech and Hearing Association's (ASHA) certificate of clinical competence (CCC) OR License as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.
  • Maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable, insured transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
