About the position

The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at CHI Memorial Hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health. The RN will provide high-quality care to patients in an intensive care setting, focusing on monitoring high acuity patients and responding effectively in critical situations. The role emphasizes patient education and collaboration in care decisions, ensuring excellence in patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor high acuity patients with patience and focus.
• React quickly in critical or emergency situations.
• Evaluate, administer, and educate on medications specific to the patient's care plan.
• Facilitate education for patients and caregivers regarding conditions, treatment plans, and prevention.
• Participate actively in decisions affecting the practice environment to enhance quality care.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree (ADN) in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license active with the Board of Nursing in the practicing state or a nursing license with eNLC practice privileges.
• One year of recent acute care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
