About the position

The IMC I position focuses on administering assistance and maintaining ongoing cases for minor children, pregnant women, and families seeking family planning services. The role involves determining client eligibility for benefits, gathering and interpreting client data, and providing information about programs and services. The position requires organizing caseloads to ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines and identifying potential fraud cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer assistance and maintain ongoing cases for minor children, pregnant women, and families.
• Determine client eligibility for benefits accurately and within mandated time frames.
• Gather and interpret client data through interviews and case file reviews.
• Provide information to clients regarding programs, services, and eligibility requirements.
• Organize and maintain ongoing caseloads to ensure timeliness and quality assurance.
• Identify cases for potential fraud investigation and submit appropriate documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related major.
• Minimum of one year experience in customer service.
• Minimum of one year as an Income Maintenance Caseworker I or equivalent experience.
• Current knowledge of agency, community, Federal and State programs and eligibility criteria.
• Ability to analyze and apply rules and regulations regarding eligibility requirements.
• Proficiency in data entry and working with various computer systems.
