About the position
NBCUniversal is seeking an Image Researcher to join the team supporting the production of Saturday Night Live. This role is essential for the day-to-day operations of the show and various departments, focusing on acquiring and managing photo and graphic elements for guest and comedy segments. The Image Researcher will utilize various research techniques, including internet searches, to gather necessary photo elements while ensuring compliance with clearance, copyright, and standards restrictions. Proper licensing of all acquired photos and graphic elements is a critical aspect of this position. Additionally, the Image Researcher will maintain an extensive photo and clip database, track costs and clearances, and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in photo research. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required, along with experience in graphics coordination and licensing still images. The role demands the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and evenings, to accommodate news cycles and breaking news, and must be available to work designated shifts, typically Monday through Saturday during show weeks. This position is based in New York, NY, and requires unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Acquire various photo and graphic elements for guest and comedy segments.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1+ years of photo research work experience required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
