About the position

The iOS Engineering Intern position at Verkada offers an exciting opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field. The intern will support the entire iOS application lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test mobile applications that enhance Verkada's security systems. Responsibilities

• Support the entire iOS application lifecycle (concept, design, test, and release) for both existing and new mobile applications.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elaborate, design, and implement new features.
• Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions.
• Build automation and tests to streamline development.

Requirements

• Ability to work at Verkada HQ during summer 2025.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science (or similar degree plan) with a graduation date as late as June 2025.
• Proficient understanding of Swift and iOS SDK.
• Previous internship experience with iOS.
• Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Experience working with backend server APIs.
• Solid UI development with SwiftUI or UIKit and unit testing skills.
• Solid understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well alongside engineers of all levels.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay range of $55 - $65 USD.
• Potential eligibility for additional forms of compensation, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
