About the position

The I&E Technician at Air Products is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, DCS, and electrical equipment at the Osceola facility. This role supports the operations team in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the plant, which includes two air separation plants and two hydrogen plants. The technician will also lead maintenance activities for electrical power distribution systems and collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, DCS, and electrical equipment.
  • Lead maintenance activities for electrical power distribution systems.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel in developing inspection and repair scopes.
  • Write and update maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing and building equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC equipment and assist other maintenance technicians with assigned tasks.
  • Complete instrument tracking documentation and required safety tasks.
  • Develop procedures for instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Support facility operations by completing assigned work orders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Technical degree and/or completion of an apprenticeship program, trade school diploma or certificate is a plus.
  • 5 years minimum of industrial maintenance experience working on instrumentation & electrical equipment, and calibration in a chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or plastic plant, or 3 years minimum of experience with a technical degree.
  • Strong mechanical skills and proficient communication and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and flexibility in job assignments.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Analyzer experience is a plus.
  • Siemens DCS experience is a plus.
  • SAP knowledge is highly desired but not required.
