About the position

Parsons is seeking a Hydrogeologist Project Manager to join their hydrogeology team, focusing on groundwater characterization, modeling, and water resource planning. This role involves managing a significant water and wastewater program, providing technical input, and overseeing field surveys and analyses to ensure project deliverables are met. The position offers opportunities to work on various water supply projects both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Support a billion dollar water and wastewater program
  • Manage and provide technical input for planning
  • Review work by others and engage in comprehensive field surveys
  • Gather and analyze pertinent data on assigned projects
  • Perform geological, hydrogeologic, and hydrochemistry analyses
  • Identify and remediate project obstacles to ensure deliverables are met
  • Develop comprehensive geological models through data analysis and interpretation
  • Prepare geologic reports and technical papers with expertise-level insight

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Professional experience in hydrogeological field work such as well drilling and construction
  • Professional experience with lithologic classification
  • Professional experience with groundwater sampling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience with Graphical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Professional experience in groundwater modeling using software such as MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, FEFLOW, Groundwater Desktop, IHM, SEAWAT.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Professional Geologist (PG) license in the State of Florida
  • Strong hydrogeologic characterization experience
  • Surface water modeling experience
