Responsibilities

  • Review WVU and Research Corp Staff positions to conduct job reviews for classification and pay level determination.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to unit leadership for informed compensation decisions through research, analysis, and data support.
  • Develop and monitor career development and pathing programs to ensure consistency and compliance with policies.
  • Consult with leaders regarding new or revised job classifications and evaluate needs based on organizational or market factors.
  • Prepare compensation unit reports and analyses, including benchmark comparisons and pay plan reports.
  • Research and analyze competitive compensation practices in the job market.
  • Serve as a primary contact for the University community on classification and compensation concerns, providing advice and problem resolution.
  • Assist in designing, modifying, implementing, and maintaining compensation plans and pay policies.
  • Design and deliver presentations and training on compensation topics.
  • Participate in reviewing proposed compensation and HR policies, legislation, and programs.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in compensation analysis and administration.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate job classifications and compensation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for consultation and training purposes.
