About the position

The HVAC Technician Apprentice position at Trane Technologies is designed for individuals looking to start a career in the HVAC industry. This apprenticeship program, which begins in January 2025, offers hands-on training paired with dedicated mentorship, allowing apprentices to gain essential skills and knowledge over a four-year period. Participants will receive regular pay increases and upon completion, will earn a National Certification and transition to a full-time HVAC Service Technician role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured apprenticeship program that includes on-the-job training and technical instruction.
• Learn about HVAC tools, safety protocols, and basic trade skills in the first year.
• Advance knowledge of air flow, compressors, duct systems, and air quality equipment in the second year.
• Develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electrical systems and refrigeration in the third year.
• Gain leadership skills and knowledge of system design and energy conservation in the fourth year.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age on the first day of the program.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with no major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in the HVAC trade.
