About the position

Christian Brothers Mechanical seeks experienced commercial pipefitters. The job consists of installing refrigeration systems (including VRF), Chilled and Hot water heating systems, being able to read blueprints and schematic drawings, and must be able to braze/solder pipe. Should be able to layout and install copper pipe systems and steel welded or grooved systems. A brazing certificate is a plus. Must be competent with installing commercial hangers and supports for piping systems. Must also be competent with installing various types of equipment and accessories. Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration systems including VRF
• Install chilled and hot water heating systems
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Braise/solder pipe
• Layout and install copper pipe systems
• Install steel welded or grooved systems
• Install commercial hangers and supports for piping systems
• Install various types of equipment and accessories

Requirements

• 7-10 years experience in commercial HVAC mechanical piping, plumbing, and sheet metal
• Intuitive problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Solid knowledge of the construction process
• Ability to lift 55lbs
• Ability to travel to scheduled job sites
• Ability to work as a team
• Commitment to safety
