About The Position
The HVAC Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for diverse HVAC projects, including both plan/spec and design-build. This role involves a significant amount of public works estimating. The estimator will analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine necessary materials, labor, and timelines. They will also solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors, and collaborate with project managers and leadership to support winning proposals.
Requirements
- 10+ years in mechanical/HVAC estimating
- Pipefitting/ duct and refrigeration experience required
- Experience with commercial, municipal, and government bids
- Comfortable doing bids up to 10M
- Proficient with estimating software and takeoff tools
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline orientation
