About the position

The Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates for placement. This role involves promoting the organization as an employer of choice and collaborating with various departments to identify suitable candidates. The Recruiter will utilize both traditional and innovative sourcing methods to attract quality candidates and ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process.
  • Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Sources and posts jobs on recruitment platforms and identifies new resources as needed.
  • Screens resumes and interviews candidates, recommending qualified candidates for consideration.
  • Manages candidate activity using the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Processes Initial Employment Authorization, prepares offer letters, and extends employment offers.
  • Communicates acceptance/rejection of offers to hiring managers.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve staffing goals.
  • Responsible for the transition of new hires from the ATS to the HRIS.
  • Assists with New Hire Orientation.
  • Tracks and keeps records of recruitment activity, providing weekly reports to supervisors.
  • Visits programs and department locations to understand the setting and needs of the program/department.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential sources of qualified candidates.
  • Works with educational institutions to promote interest among students.
  • Participates in career-related events such as panel discussions and mock interviews.
  • Assists with developing advertising and marketing programs for high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Coordinates and participates in required events, meetings, and committees, including those outside standard working hours.
  • Trains Hiring Managers on recruiting and hiring processes and the use of the ATS.
  • Assists HR Support team with gathering request documents for auditing purposes.
  • Covers onboarding process when needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS, and other job-related technology.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to worksites and recruiting events.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team or independently and take on various tasks and projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend recruitment events.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-service orientation with a strong desire to meet/exceed hiring managers' needs.
  • Proven ability to work in an environment where flexibility and anticipating needs is essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Interviewing skills and knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices preferred.
  • Basic understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment preferred.
