About the position
The Human Resources Manager at Ashley Furniture is responsible for overseeing daily HR activities and addressing the human resource needs of the business unit. This role focuses on enhancing the employee experience, resolving employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The HR Manager collaborates with senior management to support various departments and is expected to adapt to changing practices while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily human resources activities and address HR needs of the supported business unit(s).
- Resolve employee relations issues and coordinate the performance management process.
- Maintain measures to demonstrate continuous improvement in employee value.
- Perform HR-related duties in collaboration with senior management.
- Build relationships and establish credibility with employees across departments.
- Provide recommendations and assist in the development of company policies and procedures.
- Ensure consistent enforcement of company policies and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SP preferred.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems.
