About the position
The Human Resources Manager at Ilpea Industries is responsible for overseeing payroll processing, benefits administration, and labor relations within a unionized environment. Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for union representatives and manage relationships with them.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage laws.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Ensure HR practices comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Act as an advisor to managers and employees on HR policies and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and legal requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and labor laws.
Nice-to-haves
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience with UKG PRO payroll systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
