About The Position

Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI), a division of Amphenol Corporation, designs and manufactures high‑performance fiber optic interconnect solutions engineered for harsh‑environment applications spanning military, aerospace, industrial, and communications markets. The Human Resources Manager serves as both a strategic and hands‑on partner to leadership, aligning HR practices with Amphenol Fiber Systems International’s business goals and its strong, people‑centered culture. This role requires a highly seasoned HR professional with the discernment, judgment, and people instincts needed to navigate sensitive issues, guide leaders, shape culture, and make balanced, well‑reasoned decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field and/or equivalent Human Resource experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR both strategically and hands-on, with comfort moving fluidly between big-picture planning and daily execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to draft, review, and interpret HR policies, procedures, reports, and regulatory materials.
  • Proven ability to use discernment, situational awareness, and sound judgment to make people decisions that are fair, balanced, and aligned with business goals.
  • Strong employee relations experience with a track record of resolving issues effectively and equitably.
  • Ability to build trust and influence leaders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, best practices, and policy implementation.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Allen, TX facility.
  • Position requires candidates to be U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status)

  • Experience supporting or leading HR in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, or defense environments (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and leadership team, using strong business judgment to help diagnose organizational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement strategic HR initiatives, including workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness programs.
  • Build scalable HR processes and structures aligned to operational and long‑term business strategy.
  • Lead change management efforts with a steady, thoughtful approach that balances people needs with business priorities.
  • Develop and lead all HR functions including employee relations, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, compliance, benefits support, and policy development.
  • Create, refine, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across the organization.
  • Apply sound judgment and discretion in managing confidential, complex, and sensitive HR matters.
  • Build HR infrastructure that supports growth, efficiency, and the Amphenolian culture.
  • Design and manage full‑cycle recruiting processes, ensuring strong candidate pipelines for manufacturing, engineering, and professional roles.
  • Create talent identification, succession planning, and skills development programs that build organizational capability.
  • Develop and enhance onboarding, training, and employee development plans that support career progression and talent retention.
  • Provide objective, thoughtful guidance to employees and leaders to ensure fairness, clarity, and consistent outcomes.
  • Create and lead engagement, recognition, and culture‑building initiatives aligned with the Amphenolian mindset.
  • Exercise excellent discernment when navigating employee concerns, conflict, policy interpretation, or corrective actions.
  • Promote and model the Amphenolian values—integrity, humility, accountability, and disciplined execution.
  • Oversee the performance management cycle, and develop tools, templates, and coaching resources that support effective feedback and development.
  • Build and monitor HR metrics, reporting, and compliance frameworks to ensure operational discipline.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and ensure policies reflect current legal requirements.
