About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Pratt Industries is responsible for managing and driving strategic HR initiatives at the Beloit, WI corrugated box plant. This multifaceted role encompasses recruitment, retention, culture management, benefits administration, and employee relations, all aimed at fostering a positive workplace environment and supporting the company's growth and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of the Human Resources function including recruitment, onboarding, performance & talent management, engagement and other related people initiatives or programs.
  • Investigate employee relations issues, including hotline reports, with focus on timely resolution.
  • Administer all employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, paid leaves.
  • Serve as primary contact to the local management team.
  • Maintain and administer any records or personnel files as required by state and federal laws.
  • Maintain and analyze metrics related to absenteeism, retention, and other HR KPI's.
  • Assist with processing biweekly payroll.
  • Balance multiple commitments in fast paced environment.
  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings, acting as point of contact and HR Business Partner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years' experience as a HR generalist or HR Manager.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS Excel).
  • BS degree in HR Management or related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Preferred SPHR or PHR certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP and other HRIS's.
