About the position

With Zoom Tan being the fastest growing UV and Spray Tanning Company in America, we are looking for a Human Resources Manager to support the Human Resources Team. As the HR Manager, you will need to have a proven history of Human Resources Management, to include, but not limited to, an extensive background and experience level with payroll, benefits, professional learning, employment law, and labor law. This role will include frequent communication and interaction with the Executive Team, and other key internal and external stakeholders. As the Human Resources Manager, you will need to have a proven history of effectively demonstrating strong skills with leadership, interpersonal skills, and advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CFO on company strategy including benefits renewals, hiring, acquisitions, retention and creating a lean HR department.
  • Support the processing and maintenance of all payroll records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Advise and support employees and managers on internal employee relations practices, procedures, and overall organizational policies.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the company's legal obligations regarding FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, and other employment laws and reporting.
  • Compile and submit regulatory compliance data to include EEO reports, end-of-the-year 401k reporting, and ACA reporting for the 1095-C documentation.
  • Stay current on regulations, benefits changes, and labor laws impacting the payroll process, and stay compliant for all payroll tax jurisdictions.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate training, to include orientation for specific individuals.
  • Participate in the evaluation, monitoring, and measurement of the success for training programs.
  • Ensure all requested personnel actions are compliant with company policy and procedures, as well as adhere to established employment laws and guidelines. Provide the appropriate guidance to leadership staff.
  • Complete accurate and detailed leadership reports and other departmental reports.
  • Assist with departmental restructuring, succession planning, job description development and revisions, as well as review and negotiation of salary offers, promotions, etc.
  • Complete special projects or assignments as required, which may include administering employee recognition programs, participation on committees, and coordination of special events etc.
  • Support and assist with administrative needs such as obtaining signatures, scanning, and electronic filing.
  • Efficiently manage time and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the company.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
  • Engage as a collaborative team player with the passion to share innovative ideas and concepts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years Human Resources Management experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
  • SHRM Certified is preferred
  • Advanced experience managing payroll and benefits for 200+ employees
  • Proficiency with computer applications and HRIS databases
  • Advanced experience working with employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to show and demonstrate initiative, professionalism, poise, and flexibility
  • Ability to work within an environment of frequent interruptions, varying workloads, and differing priorities
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and email correspondence.
