About the position

The Management Analyst in Human Resources at Elk Grove Village is responsible for performing various administrative, professional, and technical functions within the Office of Human Resources. This role primarily focuses on overseeing the recruitment process, including posting positions, tracking applicants, and onboarding new employees. Additionally, the analyst will engage in compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and labor relations, while providing exceptional customer service to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process including posting positions, tracking and interviewing applicants, and onboarding new employees.
  • Conduct research, surveys, and special projects, collaborating with other municipalities.
  • Act as a liaison and provide support to the Board of Fire and Police Commission for Fire and Police recruitment.
  • Research, compile, analyze, and prepare reports and spreadsheets related to various human resources functions and programs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Human Resources is required.
  • A master's degree in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in business administration, public administration, human resources management, and/or benefits administration is required.
  • Proficiency in software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing is required.
