About the position

The Human Resources Business Partner I is responsible for the coordination and implementation of several key HR processes and programs including: Recruitment, Onboarding, Training and Learning Development, Performance Management, Benefits, Compensation and Associate Relations and Engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with site leadership to align and support HR initiatives with business strategy
  • Collaborate with operations management to implement a superior recruitment process.
  • Coordinate and conduct recruitment efforts designed to attract candidates based upon staffing level needs to achieve company goals and efficiencies
  • Assure all recruiting activities are tracked and reported out adhering to company recruitment policies including diverse selection of internal and external candidates
  • Effectively communicate to leaders and associates on all HR initiatives including new hire orientation, performance management, policy updates, benefits and utilization of HRIS systems
  • Provide advice and counsel to members of the leadership team and associates related to Company employment policies and associate relations issues, employment laws and regulations, prepare necessary documentation, and participate in meetings as required
  • Maintain accuracy of the HRIS system and provide guidance and training to leaders and associates to best utilize the system for HR and personnel initiatives
  • Assist with reporting metrics and the development of key HR indicators to measure human capital performance
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures that ensure consistent and fair treatment by location and across the organization
  • Monitors, recommends and collaborate with HR leadership to implement changes in company policies and procedures to ensure compliance to applicable regulatory laws such as FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and EEOC

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of human resources experience required
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices and legislative requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates
  • Behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence and the ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the needs of the company and associates
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; presentation and training skills
  • Exceptional customer service, sense of urgency and detail orientation
  • HCMS experience; Workday experience preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Human Resources credentials i.e. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred
