About The Position

The role involves performing diversified and technical tasks in the maintenance of human resources functions. Requirements

  • Three years of human resources experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR A bachelor’s degree.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Processes the full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete appointments, merit increases, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
  • Provides general, basic explanation of employee benefit programs and advises employees of various options available under some programs.
  • Reviews benefits documents for accuracy and completeness; forwards to appropriate office.
  • Reviews files on a routine basis to ensure that current descriptions are maintained for all positions.
  • Provides assistance to agency personnel on routine or limited Civil Service rules, Federal and State laws, and department policies and procedures in assigned areas.
  • Schedules employees for required training courses.
  • Monitors and maintains records of completed course work.
