About the position

The Human Resource Representative at Albertsons Companies plays a crucial role in supporting the Distribution Center's HR functions. This position focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The representative will contribute to a positive work environment while managing various HR processes and metrics to enhance staffing and retention efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Distribution Center in all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Work with Hiring Managers in support of recruitment efforts, developing relationships with external partners.
  • Develop and participate in consistent selection processes for compliance and identification of qualified candidates.
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage applicants through the onboarding process.
  • Maintain and deliver the New Hire Orientation Program.
  • Assist with employee concerns and investigations to ensure consistency and fairness in policy and procedure.
  • Track and review HR metrics to support staffing and make recommendations for retention.
  • Assist with employee training and development programs as required.
  • Support compensation management when needed and maintain HRIS data integrity.
  • Communicate employee benefits and assist with questions regarding benefits and claims.
  • Assist employees with FMLA/LOA compliance and coordinate with the Leave Management Team.
  • Manage and facilitate employee engagement projects, including events and communication processes.
  • Assist the Sr HR Manager with special projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, aligning HR objectives with business operations.
  • Experience with employee investigations and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Emotionally intelligent and compassionate, with the ability to understand and support others' perspectives.
  • Ability to navigate complex workplace dynamics and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Initiative to anticipate needs and address challenges promptly.
  • Strong team player and collaborator, proactive in sharing ideas and improving processes.
  • Experience with an HRIS and/or ATS system.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
