About the position

The Human Resources Manager will develop and implement an organization-wide human resource strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and business objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring that all HR activities and programs are executed in accordance with the established strategy, including recruitment, training, compensation, performance evaluation, and compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of human resource activities in accordance with the organization's strategy.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers to effectively implement HR strategies.
• Oversee maintenance of accurate personnel records and ensure compliance with confidentiality rules.
• Keep abreast of legislation affecting human resources and train managers on compliance.
• Oversee preparation of job descriptions and compensation programs.
• Seek incentive programs to encourage performance and increase retention rates.
• Manage ongoing employment litigation and seek cost-reduction solutions.
• Work with top management to set long-term staffing goals and strategies.
• Oversee training programs to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Manage the organization's management development process and ensure effective systems exist across the organization.
• Compile HR metrics, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to the President and Executive Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• SPHR Certification or SHRM-SCP Certification.
• Over ten years of experience in human resources with management responsibilities.
• Thorough knowledge of laws affecting human resources administration in California.
