Responsibilities

  • Provide support and leadership to assess and enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, identify barriers, and uncover systemic inequities.
  • Develop data-driven action plans, benchmark progress against global standards, and collaborate with the Chief Diversity Officer to guide leadership in fostering inclusive behaviors.
  • Advise HR, Learning & Development, and senior leaders on transformative diversity, equity and inclusion workforce strategies aligned with global trends.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with industry peers, academic institutions, and diversity organizations to support long-term goals and establish global alliances focused on research, innovation and workforce readiness.
  • Design and deliver tailored learning journeys to business outcomes for employee development and inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Leverage data insights to embed fairness, accountability, and belonging into accelerating career pathways for underrepresented talent to remove advancement barriers and integrate diversity principles to impact performance acceleration.
  • Lead the creation and progress of internal and external meetings, including executing the annual Professional Development Summit alongside the Chief Diversity Officer.
  • Develop change management plans and recommend strategies to enhance business outcomes by advancing recruitment, talent acceleration, and employee development, focusing on fostering a high-performing, diverse workforce.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Communications to develop and execute an inclusive employer brand strategy highlighting Berkshire Hathaway Energy as an employer of choice driven by diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Recommend talent development initiatives, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through mentorship, skill-building, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Eight years of leadership experience in driving human capital strategies focused on diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Change management experience, leading and influencing matrixed organizations to successfully implement complex transformation initiatives.
  • Advisory expertise in cultivating and managing strategic relationships with industry leaders, government entities, and academic institutions.
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations to drive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
