About the position

We are looking for a HRIS Analyst Lead to join our HR team and be on the ground floor of the implementation and launch of our HRIS platform, Ceridian Dayforce. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our HR data, as well as providing reports and insights to support strategic decision-making. You will also collaborate with HR and IT to optimize the functionality and user experience of our HRIS platform. This role can be performed in a hybrid working environment. In this position, you will guide and partner internally to ensure the successful implementation, launch, vision, and direction for how HR technology should be utilized to support Southland's business initiatives. As the lead subject matter expert in HR systems, you will research and assess technology needs, identify systems/process improvements, and deliver technological solutions that support operational excellence. You will administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the HRIS system, focusing on the Talent modules including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, performance, compensation, learning, and succession. Your responsibilities will also include configuring and customizing the HRIS system to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organization, such as workflows, forms, fields, rules, and permissions. You will collaborate with other stakeholders to assess the overall system impact of enhancements and changes, and develop and deliver HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business objectives, such as headcount, turnover, retention, performance, compensation, and benefits. Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to HR and other users on how to use the HRIS system effectively and efficiently, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations, as well as best practices for data management and governance. You will also research and evaluate new features and enhancements of the HRIS system, recommending and implementing solutions to improve the user experience and business outcomes, and collaborate with HR and IT to manage system upgrades, integrations, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and partner internally to ensure the successful implementation and launch of the HRIS platform.
  • Be the lead subject matter expert in HR systems by researching and assessing technology needs.
  • Identify systems/process improvements and deliver technological solutions that support operational excellence.
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the HRIS system, focusing on the Talent modules.
  • Configure and customize the HRIS system to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess overall system impact of enhancements and changes.
  • Develop and deliver HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR and other users on effective use of the HRIS system.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations.
  • Research and evaluate new features and enhancements of the HRIS system.

Requirements

  • Very strong working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices related to HRIS functionality and data.
  • Significant experience implementing systems and integrating existing/new systems.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and SQL.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Very effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in HRIS administration, configuration, and reporting, preferably with Ceridian or Dayforce HRIS.
