About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a HR Specialist at Pearl Haven in Haleiwa, HI. Pearl Haven is a specialized facility on the north shore of Oahu that provides trauma informed therapeutic services for girls ages 11-17 who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances to try and help them heal from their trauma. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a HR Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Requirements

BA/BS in a related field
At least 21 years of age
Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test
Empathetic, patient and have a desire to work with troubled teens

Responsibilities

Manage recruitment activities
Assist with the hiring process
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements
Post open positions
Screen applicants
Process background checks
Support benefits administration
Maintain personnel files
Assist with training and employee onboarding
Provide support to employees and external agencies
Assist with audits and reporting
Help promote a safe, respectful, and compliant work environment for both staff and students
