About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This role will support the HR function through administration and/or management of several payroll, HRIS and vendor related processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring the company's adherence to labor laws and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees and managers with payroll and benefit related questions.
  • Process government and legal related inquiries including garnishments, unemployment claims, and tax inquiries.
  • Oversee and process monthly, quarterly and yearly state and federal reports.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced payroll vendor, ADP, ADP SmartCompliance and UKG.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for employees with payroll queries.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies (related to payroll, benefits and time & attendance) relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.
  • Support employees, managers and Human Resources team members on wage and hour laws, compliance, and internal & external policy changes.
  • Assist HR team with various ad hoc projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with ADP and UKG are a plus
