About the position

The HR Generalist position in Boone, Iowa, involves executing a variety of HR tasks including employee relations, training, compliance, recruitment, and HRIS management. The role is essential for maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring that HR policies align with company goals and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to employee inquiries and concerns, administering company policies, and assisting in conflict resolution.
  • Conducting investigations into employee complaints.
  • Assisting in the disciplinary process by providing recommendations on corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with the Risk & Safety team on worker's compensation activities.
  • Coordinating and communicating employee medical leave.
  • Assisting in the administration of programs and procedures to align the workforce with strategic company goals.
  • Participating in the recruitment process, including interviewing and hiring.
  • Assisting with the performance evaluation process and providing coaching as needed.
  • Educating employees and answering questions about benefit and perk offerings.
  • Maintaining employee data and utilizing HR software (HRIS).
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with support departments through ongoing communication.
  • Supporting training programs aimed at employee development and compliance.
  • Communicating policies, procedures, programs, and laws to management.
  • Protecting the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Benefit Functions
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Compliance regulations and laws
  • Proven ability in handling Employee Relations
  • Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation Law
  • Experience in managing Workers Compensation claims
  • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration
  • Expertise in HRIS - Human Resources Information Systems
