About the position
The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the opening of a new STS facility in Salem, Virginia. This position involves managing all aspects of Human Resources from hiring to termination, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and administering HR policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will be responsible for overseeing recruitment processes, managing employee records, and implementing corporate HR practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the interview and hiring process including resume review, screening, and interview scheduling.
- Check references and complete orientation for new hires.
- Administer employee termination processes adhering to State and Federal employment laws.
- Manage HRIS for assigned locations and create and manage active and inactive personnel files.
- Timely reporting of Payroll information to central payroll for hourly and salary employees.
- Administer and implement corporate-wide Human Resource Administration instructions, protocols, and practices.
- Ensure implementation and administration of Corporate Human Resource Policy and Procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
- HRIS Software experience preferred, with Ultipro experience as a plus.
- Previous HR experience preferred.
