About the position

The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources Department by managing daily personnel systems, assisting in recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with various regulations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, administering HR programs, and facilitating employee orientation and activities, all while upholding confidentiality and effective communication within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administers daily personnel systems such as benefits and other duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Assists in updating personnel databases in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintains accurate service records for active and inactive employees.
  • Assists in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
  • Coordinates the orientation of new hourly employees to plant policies and safety rules.
  • Manages FMLA and other leaves for employees, serving as a point of reference for communication.
  • Administers Attendance Policy by producing reports and maintaining attendance records.
  • Works with Payroll to correct errors as needed.
  • Coordinates Human Resources functions including the Job Posting process.
  • Facilitates completion of New Hire Reviews and wage increases.
  • Administers HR programs such as Safety Glasses Reimbursement and PPE reimbursement.
  • Assists in delivering employee activities such as special events and outings.
  • Maintains open communication with team members and departments regarding employee relations questions.
  • Follows all BOS policies, IATF 16959, and ISO 14001 standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all personnel functions.
