Housing Sustainability Assistant (SA)

About the position

The Housing Sustainability Assistant (HSA) will be responsible for managing the residence hall recycling bins. This includes collecting, weighing, and reporting the recyclables, as well as ensuring that the area around the bins is kept neat and orderly. The HSA will work closely with the Director of Housing and Residence Life to market the recycling program within the residence halls. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage residence hall recycling bins.
• Collect, weigh, and report recyclables.
• Ensure the area around recycling bins is neat and orderly.
• Assist the Director of Housing and Residence Life with marketing the recycling program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be an MUW student in good standing.
• A valid driver's license to operate a university vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, and climb as needed.
