About the position
The Housing Project Manager at George P. Johnson is responsible for overseeing housing program operations from inception to final reconciliation. This hybrid role requires strong relationship management with hotel partners and effective handling of housing contracts. The manager will ensure accurate booking of reservations, provide comprehensive reporting, and strategize to minimize attrition while maximizing room block sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute housing program operations from concept to final reconciliation.
- Act as the primary contact for housing and contract-related matters.
- Build strong relationships with hotel partners and understand housing contracts.
- Manage room block allocations to maximize sales and minimize attrition.
- Present comprehensive plans for booking platforms and oversee attendee experiences.
- Ensure accurate hotel reservations and provide reporting dashboards to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and mitigate attrition as necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management or hospitality, preferably in group reservations.
- Proven track record in managing hotel room blocks for large-scale events.
- Experience with hotel booking systems and event management software is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
