About the position

The Housekeeping position involves thoroughly cleaning hotel suites and other assigned areas to ensure guest satisfaction, hotel sanitation, and overall appearance. The role requires individuals to perform essential duties in a timely and organized manner, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and responding to guest requests professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans, services, and stocks assigned guest rooms/suites in a timely and organized manner according to procedures.
  • Records the status of room on daily room assignment when service is complete.
  • Reports any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor.
  • Reports needed repairs and unsafe conditions to supervisor and/or Property Maintenance.
  • Responds to requests from supervisors or management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains linen cart, closets, and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
  • Upholds security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day and returns items prior to departure.
  • Tags, bags, and reports lost and found articles to the supervisor and/or front desk.
  • Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program as directed.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.
  • Reports appropriate complaints or requests to appropriate personnel.
  • Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Displays a professional image at all times through appearance and behavior.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in cleaning or housekeeping (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with common household cleaning products.
  • Communication skills to interact with hotel guests or staff.
  • Physical ability to lift and pull items weighing up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
