About the position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff to ensure that brand and hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met. This role involves training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to perform in accordance with established standards and HHM core values. The supervisor will screen job applicants, hire new employees, and train staff to clean rooms efficiently. They will also communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction, issue cleaning supplies and equipment, and occasionally assist with cleaning rooms. The supervisor will address performance and behavior concerns, supervise laundry employees if applicable, prepare work schedules, and follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program. Safety practices must be adhered to, including wearing protective equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards. The supervisor may also assist in the breakfast area as needed and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
