About the position

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Fairfield Inn LBV is responsible for overseeing and inspecting the work of room and public area attendants to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness standards are met for hotel guests. This role involves managing staff performance, training, and ensuring that all housekeeping operations align with the hotel's business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect the work of assigned room and/or public area attendants.
• Assist with scheduling and room assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Monitor performance and recommend disciplinary action in accordance with company rules and policies.
• Alert management of potentially serious issues.
• Ensure all staff is properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
• Inspect all assigned areas for cleanliness and good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
• Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action.
• Inspect storage rooms and room attendant carts for neatness and adequate supplies.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken.
• Control expenses and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
• Complete all paperwork and closing duties, including supply requisitions and maintenance requests.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Perform housekeeping duties as necessary, including making beds and cleaning guest rooms.
• Report and log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Some supervisory training or experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Basic math skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel housekeeping preferred.
• Experience with room inspections preferred.
