About the position
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the back-of-house operations of the business, leading a team of housekeeping staff, and ensuring that guest rooms meet brand standards. This role requires strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Greet and welcome guests, addressing questions and complaints professionally.
- Ensure guest rooms are clean and ready according to brand standards.
- Assist with scheduling and room assignments for efficiency.
- Monitor staff performance and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
- Respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Complete paperwork related to room status changes and prepare work assignments for the following day.
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality.
- Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role in hospitality.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
