About the position

As a Housekeeper at New Perspective Senior Living, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and inviting environment for seniors. This position focuses on creating a safe and homelike atmosphere while fostering relationships with residents. You will be responsible for various cleaning tasks and ensuring that the community remains a welcoming place for both residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and polish floors; sanitize areas, vacuum carpets; clean restrooms; wash windows and walls; move and arrange furniture and equipment; and pick up outside garbage.
• Work in cooperation with all other team members to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and team members.
• Stock common areas, replace light bulbs, tidy throughout the day, and eliminate trip hazards.
• Adhere to the community's safety program at all times, including handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Champion hospitality and deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.
• Ensure an attractive home environment that fosters engagement, socialization, and purposeful living.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Ability to make decisions and act in the residents' best interest.
