About the position

The Housekeeper position at Marwood Nursing & Rehab is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks across different areas of the facility, ensuring that all spaces are sanitized and well-kept to promote health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, public areas, lounges, offices, nurse's stations, med rooms, and conference rooms.
• Keep carts, equipment, and areas cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
• Clean all bathrooms, including toilets and bowls, daily.
• Wash bathroom walls, doors, and mirrors.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty, clean, and reline wastebaskets.
• Remove trash from various areas and place it in the facility's trash receptacle.
• Ensure an adequate linen supply is available in linen closets.
• Clean floor registers, window sills, and all flat surfaces daily.
• Dust mop and wet mop all uncarpeted areas daily.
• Clean hallway walls as needed.
• Dust, vacuum, and clean lounges, ancillary offices, med rooms, nurse's stations, and offices daily.
• Clean shower room floors, walls, mirrors, and equipment.
• Perform emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions on proper chemical use.
• Report equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident's personal health information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
• Participate in mandatory in-services and educational opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
