About the position
The Housekeeper / Cleaning Attendant at Oakwell Beer Spa is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the spa facility. This role involves thorough cleaning and disinfecting of spa suites and common areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. The position requires interaction with guests, providing assistance and information as needed, and contributes to the overall guest experience in a unique wellness setting that combines a day spa and a taproom.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting spa suites in between appointments.
- Emptying trash and changing linens (bath towels, sauna towels, robes).
- Replacing water cups and water pitcher.
- Cleaning and disinfecting hot tubs, showers, and saunas.
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and vacuuming floors.
- Restocking housekeeping cart and supplies.
- Washing and folding laundry, and restocking glassware.
- Cleaning and wiping down windows, doors, appliances, and fixtures.
- Replacing paper towels and refilling hand soap.
- Vacuuming carpet in common areas and cleaning hard floors in common spaces.
- Inspecting appliances and equipment and reporting damage to management.
- Interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
- 2+ years in housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
- Upbeat, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor.
- Possesses a strong work ethic, respect for timeliness, and professionalism.
- Well-rounded knowledge of general cleaning principles.
- Experience using cleaning products and basic cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Valid U.S. work authorization.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a spa or wellness environment.
- Knowledge of ServSafe Alcohol certification.
